Classical dance, music performed at Tribal Museum auditorium

Lord Krishna’s incarnations were beautifully depicted through the scintillating Bharatnatyam dance. Here on Friday, the Bhopalites witnessed a wonderful event of music and classical dance.

Under the Uttaradhikar series of Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum, a violin jugalbandi and Bharatnatyam was performed at Tribal Museum auditorium.

As the first presentation of the programme, Praveen and Chaitali Shivlikar performed Violin-Jugalbandi with their fellow artists. Pravin Shivlikar gave priority to the gates of ragas, and purity of singing in their performance and started off their recital with "Raga Bageshri", which is being sung during the evening of the emergence of Indian classical music.

Presenting an enchanting mantra of "Hori" in the form of classical music going to Holi, was presented to the audience. In today's presentation, Raminder Singh Solanki with Praveen and Salali Shavalkar gave accompaniment to the tabla.

One of the country's leading young violinists, Shivlikars have received the music lessons from their family.

They are receiving training of continuous violin playing with their father and guru famous violinist Pt. Basant Rao Shivalikar.

Both of them have performed art shows in Italy and the United States, while performing their art successfully at many prestigious concerts of the country.

The next presentation of Bharatnatyam was presented under the Guru Shishya Parampara in which the disciples of Guru Veena C Shastri gave performance.

The Bharatnatyam dance began with the Ganesha Kirtan. Later, the artists performed Swarguccha in Raga Raagmalika in which a beautiful description of nature and Lord Krishna is described in three different Ragas associated with chants and perfect abhinay.

The next performance was Krishna-Leela in the Raga-Shankarabharam Adi-Talav, the artists presented the beautiful depiction of Lord Krishna's complete incarnations, his leelaas and stories in front of the audience through dance, The song ‘Bhaj Govindam was performed in the form of hymns in Ragmalika.

The spontaneous performance was wrapped up with Tilana in Raga Natbhairavi which as inspired by the idols found in ancient temples.
