Switzerland’s Tennis Champ Roger Federer, who reached the top position in the Tennis Professional Association (ATP) Ranking, clinched the semifinal of Rotterdam Tennis Tournament on Sunday. The player will now face off World No. 5 Grigor Dimitrov.

In the semifinals match, Roger Federer defeated Andreas Seppi of Italy 6-3, 7-6 on Saturday. Federer, who has been champion twice here, showed his aggressive game against Seppi from the very beginning and maintained his dominance throughout the match. This win helped him to enter the finals of the tournament.

The 36-year-old Federer has become the world’s oldest player to reach the top in world rankings. Federer now, leaving behind Andre Agassi, became the oldest player to reach the top spot in world ranking. Agassi achieved top ranking in year 2003.

In another semi-final, Belgium’s David Goffin witnessed eye injury as the ball directly hit his eye when he was playing against Dimitrov of Bulgaria, which led him to withdraw from the match. At the time of Gofin’s injury, he was at a score of 6-3, 0-1. After this, Dimitrov succeeded in the final game.
