BOT VFX team at the movie screening in Chennai
Chennai:

BOT VFX is behind many of the spectacular visual effects and designs of the flick, which revolves around the conflict set in the fictitious African nation of Wakanda.
On Friday evening, movie viewers at Sathyam Cinemas were surprised to see more than 200 people wearing Black Panther-themed shirts to a screening – and loud cheers during the credits after the movie when their names were displayed on screen. It was the BOT VFX team celebrating.
“Our production facility in Chennai today serves some of the biggest production houses across the world. We have worked on numerous Hollywood flicks such as Beauty and the Beast, Dr Strange, Power Rangers, Transformers, several Netflix series, and most recently Black Panther.
While we are unable to divulge much due to NDA reasons, BOT VFX has worked on five movies nominated for the Academy Awards,” co-founder Sreyans Bardia proudly said.

VFX team asks parents to believe in artistic kids
The Chennai-based BOT VFX team is behind the spectacular visual effects and designs of the American superhero movie Black Panther, which released on Friday.
The 2D supervisor of the team Sankara Subramanian was just one of the many present at Sathyam theatres calling it ‘a dream for every artist to see their work on a movie of international acclaim.’
The team takes a lot of pride in their diversity with many BOTs artists coming from small rural towns. “There is great scope for aspiring artists who want to follow their heart and art. With new streaming services, the industry will continue to grow,” remarked Paint Leads Sasi and Ruben. However – the company has taken inclusivity to a new level, with a unique policy.
“Ten per cent of our artists/workforce is hearing and speech-impaired or differently-abled. What started as an experiment is today running successfully in our studio. The joy in the eyes of our Special Batch, as we call them, is priceless. It’s an amazing mix to do cutting edge Hollywood work and at the same time have some of the best in artists in India train and include the differently-abled (on merit) into our team,” explained Culture Manager Sai Priya Kumar.
As the other audience members congratulated the BOT VFX members on their success, Head of Production Sukumar Sreenivas explains their long-term vision – “We wish to continue to expand and take in more complex work giving artists the growth they deserve technically. We also want to make parents in Chennai believe in their kids who are artistic that there is growth and success in other creative streams, apart from the traditional lines of careers they generally look out for.”
