The state Congress on Sunday expelled Bengaluru city youth Congress general secretary Mohammed Haris Nalpad from the party for six years for reportedly assaulting a businessman.
Mohammed Haris, who is the son of Congress MLA from Shantinagar N A Haris, reportedly assaulted a businessman at a restaurant located in UB city on Saturday evening.
The Party has taken action against the MLA's son in order to avoid any major embarrassment to it ahead of the assembly polls.
