Entrance examinations for admission in the prestigious Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) Dehradun would be held on June 1 and 2.
The Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Dehradun, S B Joshi said that the admission process for the premier institute has begun and the students would be given admission in class VIII of the institute. The complete application forms should reach the office of CEO by March 31.
This institute only gives admission to boys. The students who have passed the class VII or are studying in it can apply for admission. Joshi said that the applicant should be of age between 11 years 6 months to 13 years on January 1, 2019 to be eligible for sitting in the examination. The applicant would have to go through an entrance test in which a written examination would be followed by an interview. In the written examination, the students would have to solve question papers of English, Mathematics and General Science and score minimum 50 Percent marks in every subject to be eligible for being called for the interview. The written examination would be held at the Government Girls Inter College (GGIC), Rajpur road Dehradun. The selected candidates would be called for an interview of October 4, 2018.
The students whose parents are residents of Uttarakhand are eligible for the appearing in the examination for the seats reserved for the state. The time and place of the interview would be declared later by the department. The interested candidates can take the application forms from RIMC or can seek them by post from the institute. For seeking the application form by post, they should attach a bank draft of the fees. The fee for general candidates is Rs 600 while for reserved category candidates a fee of Rs 555 is needed to be deposited.
