Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today called on King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of developing and enhancing them in various fields. The Finance Minister also conveyed the greetings of President Ram Nath Kovind to King Salman.
Mr Jaitley reached Saudi Arabia this morning on a two-day visit to the country to co-chair the 12th India-Saudi Arabia Joint Commission Meeting (JCM). The two-day JCM is being held at Riyadh.
Mr Jaitely along with his Saudi Arabian counterpart also opened the “Saudi-Indian Business Council”. He is also scheduled to visit the “India Pavillion” at the Saudi National Heritage and Cultural Festival Janadriyah.
Mr Jaitely will meet the Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majid Al-Qassabi tomorrow to discuss bilateral issues of mutual interest.
India and Saudi Arabia enjoy cordial and friendly relations reflecting the centuries-old economic and socio-cultural ties.
