A team of experts will assess the environmental concerns of Munroe Thuruthu and come out with possible solutions in a two-day workshop jointly hosted by the Department of Environment and Climate Change and the State Wetland Authority.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will formally inaugurate the workshop on Monday which aims at solving the problems through an analytical procedure. Kovoor Kunjumon, MLA, will preside over the function and Minister Mathew T. Thomas; K. Somaprasad, MP; former MP K.N. Balagopal; Collector S. Karthikeyan; and District Planning Officer P. Shaji will speak.
On Sunday, a team visited various parts of the island following an introductory lecture by Department of Environment and Climate Change Director Padma Mahanti.

Padmakumar, Vizhinjam Harbour CEO Jayakumar, Haritha Keralam Mission technical advisor R. Ajayakumar Varma, and faculty members from engineering colleges M.R. Madhav, Krishna Mishra, N.
