On everyday basis, we throw so much of fruit and vegetable peels leftover into the bin. But there are so many ways through which you can use them in a good and effective manner. So, think think twice before throwing the leftovers in the dust bin. We are telling you a few ways of using the fruit and vegetable peels leftover.

Revitalize tired eyes-

The enzymes and vitamin C present in potato peels are quite beneficial to treat soothe dark, puffy and tired eyes. Refrigerate a few leftover potato peels in the fridge for around 10 to 15 minutes. Gently place the peels over and around your eyes. Wash off with cold water after 15 to 20 minutes. You will see the difference in your eyes.
Consume these foods to get better eyesight

Teeth whitening-

Rub your teeth with the inside of a banana or an orange peel to reduce the yellowness. The magnesium, manganese and potassium content in these peels help in recharging tooth enamel.

Pest repellent-

The citrus scent in oranges and lemons are a great way to keep pests and insects away.  Place these peels along windows and doorways or in places frequented by pests.

How to treat stomach infections?

Skin moisturizer and scrub-

Leftover fruit and vegetable peels can also be used as scrub and moisturizer for skin. You just have to dry a few orange peels in the sun for two to three days. Now grind them to a coarse powder and mix with plain yogurt along with some honey. Apply it on your face and neck, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and then scrub it off and rinse your skin with lukewarm water. Avocado, papaya or banana peel can be used as moisturizer for your skin.
