PNB scam: Abhishek Manu Singhvi refutes Nirmala Sitharaman’s allegation, threatens legal action

Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi threatened defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman with a civil and criminal defamation lawsuit, after the latter alleged that the Congress leader’s family members had business relations with Nirav Modi's jewellery company in Mumbai. In a press conference, Singhvi dismissed Sitharaman's allegation as ‘ludicrous and ridiculous’ and said that neither he, nor his family members have anything whatsoever to do with Gitanjali or Nirav Modi's companies. Earlier this week, Punjab National Bank had disclosed that billionaire jeweller Nirav Modi had committed fraudulent transactions worth Rs 11,300 crore at one of its branches in Mumbai.
