Naidu ruled out any compromise on the interests of Andhra Pradesh. The second largest partner of the NDA has appealed to the public to prepare for a united fight for their rights.
The Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the central government's failure to fulfil promises made to the state during the bifurcation of the Andhra speaking states, is leading to unrest in the state.

Addressing a public meeting in Narsaraopet town of Guntur district on Saturday, the chief minster demanded that the injustice meted out to Andhra people through unscientific and unilateral bifurcation of the state in 2014, be set right. This is the first time that the chief minister has made such a demand in public since forging a pre poll alliance with the BJP in 2014.

While highlighting that the people of Andhra were highly upset and angry over the raw deal dished out even in the latest union Budget, Naidu said, he wished that unrest like what prevailed in Assam and Punjab should not arise in Andhra.

He urged the BJP government to engage in an open debate on the centre's support to various states.

He ruled out any compromise on the interests of Andhra Pradesh. The second largest partner of the NDA has appealed to the public to prepare for a united fight for their rights.

States too enjoy sovereign status said Naidu while taking exception to the demands of state level BJP leaders to furnish accounts on the utilisation of funds released by the union government till date.
