In Rajasthan, nine persons were killed and 21 others injured in a gas cylinder blast during a wedding ceremony in Beawar of Ajmer district Friday evening.
The explosion severely damaged the building and some adjoining buildings. Some people are feared to be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building.
Search and Rescue operations are underway by NDRF and SDRF teams. Superintendent of Police Ajmer, Rajendra Singh told AIR that death toll is expected to rise. the number of the deceased or injured may increased.
District collector of Ajmer, Gaurav Goyal said that assistance of Rs. 50,000 to the family of the each deceased and Rs. 10,000 to each injured will be provided from the Chief Minister's relief fund.
