Bhopal: State Congress president Arun Yadav on Friday accused Election Commission of working under pressure in Madhya Pradesh and Delhi.

Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, Yadav pointed out at irregularities in voters’ list of Mungaoli and Kolaras assembly constituency. He alleged that there are discrepancies in 18,000 names in voters’ list in Mungaoali and 8,000 names in Kolaras.

Yadav alleged that one voter identity has been shown with different voter numbers at one centre. He said voter identity cards of different people have been made on one photograph. Several such irregularities have been detected and its complaint has been lodged with Election Commission but no action has been taken.

Yadav claimed that despite publication of updated voters’ list on January 25, mistakes are being found. A committee was formed by EC on February 13 in this regard but the committee has not submitted its report so far despite the fact that the polling date has arrived.

State Congress president said around 144 polling booths in Mungaoli and Kolaras assembly segments are highly sensitive, which demand deputing of extra companies but the Commission is still not serious about it.
He said review of voters’ list should be held before assembly elections are held in the state.
