CANMASS’s training on acting, anchoring opens

A three-month certificate training programme on acting, news casting and anchoring organised by the CANMASS has been  inaugurated at the Officers’ Club here.

Inaugurating the function, PPT FA and CAO SK Sahu said the CANMASS has not only mobilised the theatric culture in Port Township but also has brought laurels to the State by presenting quality plays in the theatres of several parts of the country. Eminent dramatist Dolgovind Rath and Paradip Ladies’ Club president Subhalaxmi Roy praised the endeavour of CANMASS for keeping the name of Port and the State in the theatric arena of the country and creating young talents in acting, news casting and anchoring.

Around 18 young boys & girls are enrolled in the training programme which will be attended by eminent personalities of  Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy and film division.

On the occasion the young talents of CANMASS also presented the famous Asamiya Bihu dance. Among others, CANMASS president Capt AK Mohapatra, secretary Sriman Mishra and Hemant Majhi were present.
