Raju Narisetti chosen for Chendur-Jagati award

Raju Narisetti, CEO of Gizmodo Media Group, Washington has been selected for the NR Chendur-Jagati Award.

A former Managing Editor of the Wall Street Journal and first Editor of The Mint, Raju will receive the award from the Vice-President, M Venkaiah Naidu, at a function in New Delhi on February 21.

The Gizmodo Group is an online media company and blog network operated by Univision Communications in its Fusion Media Group division.

The Hyderabad-born, Nizam College educated Raju, who also has a Journalism degree from Indiana School in US. He was also was the Managing Editor of Washington Post during 2009-12.

Lavu Nageswara Rao of the Supreme Court will preside over the function in which Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, Member, Kendriya Hindi Samithi, and S Venkatanarayana, President, Foreign Correspondents Club, will take part as guests of honour.

The award has been instituted in memory of Jagati’s founder - Editor N R Chendur by his family and friends in collaboration with Amarajeevi Potti Sreeramulu Smaraka Samithi, Chennai.
