Traffic restrictions in key localities

PATNA: Traffic restrictions will be in place in the city for the four-day meet of India region chapter of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) from February 16 to 19.

On Friday, traffic movement will be restricted at Patel Chowk, Rajendra Chowk, Deshratna Marg, Lalit Bhawan, Punaichak roundabout, Income Tax roundabout, Dak Bungalow roundabout, Fraser Road, J P roundabout and Ramghulam Chowk on different occasions for arrival of dignitaries, who will be taken to different hotels located in Gandhi Maidan area.


The dignitaries will be taken to Gyan Bhavan near Gandhi Maidan from the hotels around 9.15am on Saturday. From there, they will leave for Bihar Assembly around 2pm via Fraser Road, Dak Bungalow roundabout, Bailey Road, Puniachak roundabout and Mangles Road. From the Assembly, the dignitaries will return to their respective hotels taking the same route around 6pm.


On Sunday, the dignitaries will be taken to the Assembly via the same route around 9.30am. They will return to hotels at 4.20pm. At 7pm, the dignitaries will be taken to Karpuri Sangrahalaya for which the traffic movement on Fraser Road, Bailey Road, Mangles Road and Deshratna Marg will be shut for some time.


On Monday, the dignitaries will leave for Rajgir in Nalanda around 9am and traffic will be shut for some time near J P roundabout, Ramghulam Chowk, Exhibition Road overbridge, Old Bypass Road, Agamkuan road overbridge and Masaurhi Mor.
