Wants party HQ renamed

Undeterred by controversies surrounding the unveiling of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s portrait in the Assembly, the Amma Peravai on Thursday resolved that her life-size statues be installed on the campuses of the Assembly and Parliament. “We would like our party headquarters [in Chennai] to be named after Amma,” R.B. Udhayakumar, secretary of the Amma Peravai and Revenue Minister, said, adding that the plan was to recruit five lakh rural youth.
