Android Oreo update is coming to all non-Android One versions of the Moto X4

Moto X4 with Android One has already been updated to Android 8.0 Oreo since Christmas last year. On the contrary, users with other Moto X4 models were not so lucky and had to be content with Android 7.1.2 Nougat. However, things are set to change soon as a Senior MotoAgent from the company took to Official Lenovo forums to announce that the entire range of Moto X4 phones will soon receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update.

The message read  that the Android Oreo update has been rolled out but not everyone would get access to it at the same time. Also there was an advisory which told that the update would depend not only on the model and country but also on the mobile carrier. A notification of the update would be provided as soon as the update is out.

According to a report by Androidpolice, the update has started rolling out for Amazon Prime Exclusive version of the Moto X4 which only launched in the United States. This comes weeks after Motorola India announced the launch of a new variant for the Moto X4 with 6 GB of RAM.
