Meet on sustainable dev goals begins at KISS

The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar, is organising two national-level workshops on capacity building for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in India from February 15 to 17 here at its campus.

The first workshop, Capacity Development Workshop on 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, is being organsied in collaboration with the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC), Bonn, Germany, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and United Nations Volunteers (UNV), India on February 15 to 16.

While the second workshop, National Workshop on Building Capacity for Localising SDGs, would be held in collaboration with the NITI Aayog on February 16 and 17.

Many senior government officials from all States, planners, district-level administrators, representatives from training institutions, researchers and international partners engaged with the SDG 2030 Agenda in India would participate.

Niti Aayog Vice-Chairman Dr Rajiv Kumar would be the chief guest for the workshop. In the meeting, prominent persons like actor Rahul Bose, Madhya Pradesh’s Higher Education Department Additional Chief Secretary BR Naidu, British Council in India Director Alan Gemmell, former Professor of Jawaharlal Nehru University Prof Anand Kumar, and UN Resident Coordinator Indian Yuri Afansiev would speak on the occasion.
