The New York Tourism Office hires Bermudians

New York Tourism OfficeRecently, the Bermuda Tourism Authority declared three new Bermudian hires. They were added to the sales and marketing team in New York City.

 
To quote BTA, “Bermudian Lindsay Butterfield is the new executive assistant/office manager in New York, replacing a Bermudian team member who moved to the Bermuda office to fill a vacancy there. Bermudian Shanaye Smith has taken over as front line ambassador in New York, replacing a Bermudian team member who was promoted within the organization. Bermudian Ciara Eve was hired as marketing production manager in New York, replacing a non-Bermudian team member who moved on to new career opportunities. Ms Butterfield has 11 years of hospitality and customer service experience, of which six of those years are within a managerial capacity. Her seasoned business mind set and knowledge, combined with her self-confidence and passion for tourism, drives guest satisfaction, which will be relevant in her new position.”

 
“I am honoured to be a part of such a forward thinking group of individuals. Great things are happening at the BTA and I am delighted to join the team,” she said.

 
Ms Butterfield has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the Ryerson University. It administered the Fairmont Gold Lounge at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, previously.

 
“I have always wanted to work for the Bermuda Tourism Authority and I am excited for this new opportunity,” Ms Smith said. “I look forward to representing the Bermuda brand from New York, doing my part to help shine a light on our amazing country in an effort to showcase it to the world.”

 
Ciara Eve visits Bermuda Tourism Authority because of an exciting opportunity with the America’s Cup. For the 35th America’s Cup in Bermuda, she was the branding coordinator. Currently, Ciara will be the marketing production manager for the BTA.
