MY FIVE: Not without my sleep, fruits and veggies

I never skip breakfast, the most important meal of the day. I also have frequent meals through the day to maintain my energy levels.

Sleep is essential to refresh our mind and body. Inadequate sleep not only affects your body and mind but also your skin. I try to get eight hours’ sleep every night to avoid dark circles and start my day fresh and lively.

Physical activity is important for everyone. Exercise and diet go hand in hand. As a nutritionist, I advice everyone to be physically active. Personally, I take 30-40 minutes every day (about four times a week) for physical activity such as cardio, strength training and yoga.

I completely avoid any processed food and added sugar. Fresh fruits and vegetables are my best buddies. I usually take 4-5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables every day.

While understanding my client, their preferences, eating habits, schedule and making diet charts, I hardly get time for myself. We all usually are so occupied with our family, friends and career that we completely forget to relax and think about ourselves. At the end of the day, every day, I destress by reading books, listening to music or going for a long walk.
