FALL RIVER -- Fire officials are reporting flames showing in a first-floor residence at 208 Jefferson St., in the South End.
The report came in about 7:50 p.m. Fire officials called for rescue and additional manpower at the scene.
According to radio reports, one person was transported to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
Within about 10 minutes they reported flames were out and they expected to remain on scene for smoke cleanup and prevention for about a half-hour.
The one-story home is located near the intersection of Jefferson and Oman streets.
