Parrikar may be discharged from Mumbai hospital on Sunday

Panaji: Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar, who was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Thursday and is undergoing treatment for mild pancreatitis, went through various medical tests on Friday. Sources said he is scheduled to undergo one more test on Saturday and is likely to be discharged on Sunday.
He may resume office on Monday, the first day of the budget session of the assembly. “The chief minister is under observation. He is likely to be discharged in a day or two,” the chief minister’s office said in a statement here.
Parrikar, who had complained of a stomach pain on Wednesday, was referred by the Goa Medical College and Hospital to Mumbai. He is under the care of Dr P Jagannath, sources said.
Meanwhile, Congress legislative party passed a resolution for the speedy recovery of Parrikar and wished him good health. P 3
