Jennifer Lawrence Says She Sobbed Through Amy Schumer's Surprise Wedding

Jennifer Lawrence hits the red carpet at a screening of her movie Red Sparrow at Newseum on Thursday night (February 15) in Washington, D.C.

The 27-year-old Oscar-winning actress was joined at the event by co-star Joel Edgerton and director Francis Lawrence.

Jen opened up to ET that day about her friend Amy Schumer‘s wedding, which she attended earlier this week.

“It was beautiful,” she said. “It was very sudden, but it was, I was sobbing the whole — his vows were stunning. It’s when two people really love each other and they really mean it, it shows, and it was a beautiful ceremony and an amazing time. I couldn’t be happier for them.”

Jennifer also pointed out how her shirt was undone in all the wedding pics.

“Notice my shirt was accidentally undone the whole time,” she added. “In every wedding photo all of my buttons were undone. It looks like I was like, ‘Oh, you thought this was going to be about you?’”
