Fortis Healthcare is scheduled to come out with its results for two quarters after its board meeting was postponed from February 13 to 28. Last fortnight saw a flurry of activity involving the Singh brothers, Malvinder and Shivinder, the promoters of erstwhile drugmaker Ranbaxy, who are also promoters in the Fortis chain of hospitals and financial services group Religare. This is expected to spill over into the coming days. The controversy surrounding the Singh brothers involves the ₹3,500-crore damages that Japanese drugmaker Daiichi Sankyo looks to get from them for allegedly concealing details on Ranbaxy. Daiichi had bought the Singh brothers’ equity in Ranbaxy.
