MANILA, Philippines — The series of big-time cockfests at the Pasay City Cockpit resumes today with the staging of the Happy Birthday Mam Rhona four-cock derby.

Select members from the Rizal Gamecock Breeders Association (RGBA) and Pilipinas Gamefowl Breeders Derby Association (PGBDA) are vying in the event with their respective aces.

The event, hosted Rhona Bullecer of Rizal with Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 as main backers, has a guaranteed prize of P300,000.

Meanwhile, another group, the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) holds the first leg of its derby circuit at Pasay Cockpit on Feb. 19, 23 and March 9 (seven-cock).
