Ek Villain Sequel: Kriti Sanon will star opposite Sidharth Malhotra

After delivering a hit like ‘Bareily Ki Barfi’ there is nothing stopping Kriti Sanon. Kriti has already kicked off her next project ‘Arjun Patiala’ opposite Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh earlier this week. And now, according to a Filmfare report, ‘Heropanti’ actress will be paired opposite ‘Aiyaary’ actor Sidharth Malhotra in ‘Ek Villain 2’, the sequal of Mohit Suri’s 2014 directorial hit ‘Ek Villain’. Even though the makers are yet to make an official announcement, rumours of Kriti being roped in for this romantic thriller are already doing the rounds.

‘Ek Villain’ was released in 2014, starring Shraddha Kapoor alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Sharaddha and Sidharth’s chemistry was immensely appreciated by the fans and critics alike. The film also starred Riteish Deshmukh as the villain. Now, Kriti on board, it would be interesting to see the fresh on-screen pairing of Sid and Kriti.

To note, Siddharth and Kriti have earlier shared screen space in a music anthem “#As I Am” for online fashion brand American Swan. Meanwhile, Sidharth is gearing up for the release of his next ‘Aiyaary’, which hits the screens today i.e. February 16. The film also co-stars Manoj Bajpayee and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.
