Aggressive pricing and plentiful deals helped Sony shift a metric buttload of PlayStation VR headsets during between Black Friday and Christmas.

Now the company’s at it again, matching the best deal we’ve seen for gamers in the United States.

The popular GT Sport bundle, which includes the PlayStation Camera and the headset will be available for just $199.99 for a limited time from February 18.

That’s a discount of $100 on the regular price, matching the Christmas price and coming in $40 cheaper than the best deal we saw on Black Friday.

As well as the GT Sport bundle, users can get a standalone headset and camera for the same price, while other bundles also have also have significant discounts.

The Doom VFR bundle is $299.99 (down from $399.999), while The Elder Scrolls VR bundle which includes the camera, Move controllers and the headset is $349 (down from $499)

Sony is running the promotion with participating retailers (Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Gamestop) until March 18.

Strength-to-strength

The discounts come as the PlayStation VR goes from strength-to-strength. Between June and December 3 last year Sony amassed a million sales, taking the total beyond 2 million.

We’re yet to receive an update that includes 2018 sales, but it seems safe to assume Christmas sales were significant.

These deals are sure to push adoption further. Sony is yet to comment on whether the discounts will be available in other territories.
