The event celebrates health care providers who are committed to raising awareness of bone health in their practice and the oncology community
CURE® Magazine, the nation’s leading consumer digital and print media enterprise focused entirely on patients with cancer, will host the inaugural Bone Health Champions awards on May 18 in Washington, D.C., and is currently accepting nominations, announced Michael J. Hennessy Jr., president of Michael J. Hennessy Associates, Inc., parent company of CURE® Magazine.
“We are excited to be accepting nominations for the inaugural Bone Health Champions awards by celebrating the work done by physicians, nurses and/or medical professionals. We are thrilled to dedicate an evening to these champions who each day make a difference within the bone health community,” said Michael J. Hennessy Jr.
Once patients receive a diagnosis of bone metastases, bone health often falls off the radar until patients suffer a devastating bone complication. This award is to recognize four individuals who are actively involved in efforts to make advancements in patients’ bone health as well as educating their patients and proactively preventing bone complications.
Each Bone Health Champion is nominated by patients and caregivers for their heroic contribution and will be awarded in conjunction with the Oncology Nursing Society’s 43rd Annual Congress at the Washington Marriott Marquis starting at 6 p.m. To nominate a champion please visit https://goo.gl/6UNVvc. Nominations will close on April 1.
