Verse Innovation Pvt Ltd, creators of Dailyhunt, on Thursday said it has appointed former Facebook India and South Asia Managing Director, Umang Bedi, as its President. Dailyhunt is one of India's leading news and regional language content providers.
Dailyhunt relies on a proprietary algorithm powered by Deep Learning and Machine Learning to deliver personalised, intuitive, smart, curated content. Around 80 million users spend over 6 billion minutes on Dailyhunt each month, the company said.
Bedi had recently concluded his tenure at Facebook. During his tenure, Facebook saw a big increase in its subscriber base, boosted partly by the launch of Reliance Jio’s 4G services in the country and a drop in data prices across operators.
