Pad Man box office collection day 6 early estimates: Akshay Kumar’s film inches closer to Rs 60 crore mark

Akshay Kumar and Radhika Apte’s Pad Man again witnessed an upward trend on its first Wednesday due to Valentine’s day. As per the early estimates, the biographical social drama raked in around Rs 7 crore and now stands with the grand total of Rs 59.04 crore. By looking at the current trend, we are expecting the film to cross Rs 65 crore in its opening week at the box office. The film has managed to hold well in the weekdays, but today will be crucial for Pad Man as the film will face a huge screen crunch tomorrow due to Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee’s Aiyaary.

Apart from Aiyaary, the film is currently facing stiff competition from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat which is still going very strong at the box office. Pad Man is produced under the banners of Columbia Pictures,
Hope Productions, KriArj Entertainment and Mrs Funnybones Movies and also stars Sonam Kapoor in a pivotal role. (Also Read: Aiyaary box office predictions day 1: Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee’s film will earn around Rs 5 crore)

The film has received positive reviews unanimously especially for its direction and star performances. Our editior-in-chief and critic Tushar Joshi gave four stars to the film and said, “Pad Man is quite a different story with a totally different subject and narrative. The biggest plus point of the film is its emotional connect with the central character of Laxmi. You end up not only empathising with him but also stay invested in his story till the very end. Akshay does a fantastic job of making Laxmi extremely relatable. His big speech scene in the climax showcases his growth and immense maturity as an actor.” Anyway, do you think Pad Man will enter the Rs 100 crore club at the box office?
