Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao gave us an unforgettable performance in Vikas Bahl’s Queen in 2014. Although, Rajkummar aka Raj had a small role in the film, it was certainly very important for if he hadn’t done what he had, Rani wouldn’t have gone off on the journey of self exploration. However, whatever be the reason, seems like people liked their on screen jodi a lot as they have been approached for yet another film–this time a psychological thriller.
As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, “It’s a fast-paced thriller revolving around the two protagonists. Set in London and Mumbai, it is expected to roll in March. Raj recently heard the script and immediately came on board. Both Kangana and he are looking forward to working with each other once again.” The film will be helmed by Prakash Kovelamundi, son of renowned filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao. This will be his first Hindi film.
Meanwhile, Kangana is busy with the shoot of her upcoming period film, Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi, where as Rao has many Bollywood projects coming his way after the phenomenal year he had. He will be seen in Ek Ladki Toh Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ which stars Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and Juhi Chawla; horror comedy, Stree, with Shraddha Kapoor and finally Fanne Khan with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. We all know that Rajkummar Rao is incredibly fond of his Queen co-star and was one of the few actors to back her during the infamous nepotism debate. In an earlier interview, Rajkummar was quoted as saying, “Kangana and I are really great friends. We got along really well on the sets of Queen.” Well, we are certain that if the two give their consent for the film, they’ll have a ball of time together. Don’t you think?
