Kangana Ranaut, Rajkummar Rao to reunite on screen after Queen for a psychological thriller
After the 2014 Vikas Bahl directorial Queen, Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao are all set to reunite on screen for Ekta Kapoor and Shailesh R Singh's psychological thriller.
“It’s a fast-paced thriller revolving around the two protagonists. Set in London and Mumbai, it is expected to roll in March. Raj recently heard the script and immediately came on board. Both Kangana and he are looking forward to working with each other once again. The film has been written by Prakash’s wife, writer Kanika Dhillon who has earlier written the screenplay and dialogue for the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Ra.One, Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath and her husband’s Anushka Shetty-starrer Tamil-Telugu bilingual, Size Zero," said an unverified source, according to a Mumbai Mirror report.
The yet-untitled project will be helmed by veteran Tollywood director K Raghavendra Rao’s son Prakash Kovelamudi who will be making his Bollywood debut with the Ranaut-Rao starrer. Kovelamudi made his directorial debut with the Telugu film Bommalata which went on to win Best Film in Telugu at the 53rd edition of the National Awards.
Rao is expected to start shooting for Kovelamudi's film after finishing up Shelly Dhar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy Stree.
Ranaut on the other hand is busy wrapping up the filming for Krish’s period-drama Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.
