The Evil Within 2 can now be played from a new perspective

Bethesda and Tango Gameworks have introduced a first-person mode for The Evil Within 2 across PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Previously playable exclusively from a third-person perspective, this new mode allows players to experience the entire game from the eyes of Sebastian Castellanos.
The new feature was detailed in a recent blog post alongside comments from producer Shinsaku Ohara. Be warned, the final boss is spoilt in one of the images!
“Some savvy users figured out a way to activate this mode outside of its intended area, and the reaction to it was pretty positive, so we said, “What the heck. Let’s put it in as a bonus for all platforms.” A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game’s situations through Sebastian’s eyes, it’s a really neat experience.”
The option can be toggled on and off whenever you like from the pause menu, and is also available in The Evil Within 2’s free downloadable trial in which all progress will carry over.

We scored The Evil Within 2 a respectable 6/10 in our review. It has plenty of clever elements, but not all of them gel together as well as we’d have liked.
‘Its peculiar imagery and narrative, which is so far past ridiculous that it comes full-circle back to engaging, still shine brightly enough that The Evil Within 2 still gets under your skin.’
If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, The Evil Within 2 is currently 50% off across PS4, Xbox One and PC digital storefronts.
