Revenues at Russian internet search engine Yandex totaled RUB 27.9 billion for the fourth quarter, up 26 percent year-on-year. The net profit jumped 189 perent to RUB 3.5 billion, up 189 percent, while the adjusted net profit went 62 percent higher to USD 5.2 billion. Cash, cash equivalents and term deposits amounted to RUB 70.7 billion at end December.
Yandex's share of the Russian search market, including mobile, averaged 56.5 percent in Q4, up from 54.9 percent the year earlier. It reached 56.7 percent at end December. The company's share of the search market on Android was 45.0 percent, from 41.2 percent in the third quarter and 37.0 percent the year earlier.
Online advertising revenues grew 19 percent in Q4 and continued to determine overall top-line performance, contributing 90 percent to total revenues.
