KBLP is the first among the Inter-linking of Rivers project which is ready for implementation, he said.
Meghwal spoke to reporters here ahead of the 3rd edition of `Bhujal Manthan' conference organised by the Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) in Nagpur from February 16.
About 2,000 participants including functionaries of gram panchayats as well as scientists and researchers will be taking part in the conference.
Meghwal informed that 30 projects have been identified for Inter-Linking of Rivers.
The Rs 28,000 crore Ken-Betwa Link Project is expected to irrigate about eight lakh hectares of land in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh as well as providing drinking water to 1.4 million people in the region, he said.
MoU for Damanganga-Pinjal and Par-Tapi-Narmada river linking project between Maharashtra and Gujarat is expected to be signed by March-end, he said.
