PM Modi inaugurates Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre in Arunachal Pradesh
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, during his visit to Arunachal Pradesh's capital city Itanagar on Thursday inaugurated the Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre, stated an official release.

The Convention Centre, which has an auditorium, conference halls and an exhibition hall is expected to become a significant landmark of Itanagar, added the release.

He is scheduled to dedicate the State Civil Secretariat Building to the nation, and lay the Foundation Stone of the Academic Block of the Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Science.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pema Khandu today inspected the newly constructed state-of-the-art Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre at IG Park on February 14 prior to PM Modi's state visit. The main and adjoining small auditoria are equipped for direct telecast, visualizer for displaying printed material on screen, controlled lighting and sound and Wi-Fi facility.

It is informed that the convention centre's auditorium has a seating capacity for 1000, three mini conference halls, a restaurant, an administrative block, a media room, and an open amphitheatre, Besides these facilities, it has a parking lot that can accommodate more than 200 vehicles.

It is said that after the inauguration, the centre will be used for convening meetings, organising state level events, film screenings, cultural performances and national conferences.

From Arunachal Pradesh, the Prime Minister is going to proceed to Tripura on a non-official visit, stated the release.
