Kumkum Bhagya starts with Pragya(Sriti Jha) fondly busy cooking food for Abhi(Shabbir Ahluwalia) as Dasi walking in but Pragya somehow makes her go away as she does not want anyone in the kitchen. Dadi and Dasi later see off Purab as they check about his health. Simonicka walks in and thinks that she would kill Pragya today. Purab talks to Simonicka when Disha takes him asuide to tell him that Pragya is making special lunch for Abhi and that she feels Pragya will tell Abhi the truth today. Simonicka hears this and sees an opportunity in this. She thinks that she will burn Abhi and Pragya together today in the kitchen on Valentine’s. Simonicka walks to the kitchen to look for a chance. Simonika is furious at Tanu and thinks out aloud of how she would love dropping some poison in the breaksfast for the duo. Pragya hears this and tells Simonika that she herself too hates Tanu. Pragya asks Simonika to forgive her for Tanu’s attitude and that Tanu is not supposed to make her doo all this. Simonika say that she just dislikes Tanu so much. Pragya requests Simonika to take the breakfast for Tanu and Aliya or else they might walk in to the kitchen and that she does not want that to happen as she is cooking special food for Abhi today. Simonika says that Ahi and Pragya love each other so much. Abhi and Purab drive to the office when Purab sees Sangram’s posters. Abhi says that he will not let Sangram escape this time round after beating Purab.
Tanu shares her fear with Aliya of about how Pragya has asked theservants to go on leave and remembers how last time this happened Pragya made them all work. Simonika enters with the breakfast and gives some taunts back to Aliya and Tanu frustrating them. Pragya serves Dadi and Dasi while the two of them make Pragya eat saying she has become very thin now. They both pamper Pragya as they take turns to feed Pragya. Simonika watches them from the top and is happy that Pragya is out of the kitchen and that now she can work on killing her in the kitchen. As Simonika stands cutting the pipe of the gas Disha walks in. Simonika hides away waiting for Disha to leave.Later she walks out and cuts the pipe creating a gas leak.
