Independent Students Federation has filed a complaint against TV comedian Kapil Sharma for allegedly violating traffic norms during his recent visit to Amritsar, reports Zee News. President of Federation, Keshav Kohli, in a complaint lodged with police, alleged that during his recent visit to Amritsar, Kapil Sharma was over speeding on a Bullet motorcycle, that too without wearing a helmet.

He said that Kapil Sharma was a local native of Amritsar and was a role model for millions of his fans, and that he should have obeyed the traffic norms. In the video, which is going viral on the internet, Kapil Sharma is seen riding a Bullet motorcycle.

Earlier in 2016, nurses in Amritsar had also filed a complaint against Kapil Sharma for portraying them in a bad light on his TV show. Deputy commissioner of the police, Lakhbir Singh, told Zee News that the police had received a complaint from Federation and would begin investigation. “We will investigate and if some violation of law is noticed then we will take legal action” he said.

Keshav Kohli said that Kapil Sharma had brought pride to the city, but with the success on his side he should have been equally responsible. Besides, he said, Kapil’s relatives were also in Punjab police so he should have been more careful.
