Tennessee football took no time in filling its vacant running backs coaching position.
According to a report from GoVols247, the Vols are expected to hire former Florida State star quarterback Chris Weinke to fill the position left open after Robert Gillespie and UT parted ways Tuesday.
Weinke worked with Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt at Alabama last season.
Weinke on Thursday changed his banner photo on his Twitter page to a photo of Neyland Stadium. UT has not announced the hire.
He previously was the head coach at talent hotbed IMG Academy for five seasons and spent two years with the NFL's Rams as their quarterbacks coach.

More: Tennessee Vols AD Phillip Fulmer on Robert Gillespie's departure: 'It's a big boy business'
Gillespie and Tennessee parted ways after five seasons Tuesday. He was the lone remaining coach from Butch Jones' staff.
On Wednesday, Tennessee athletic director Phillip Fulmer said Gillespie "didn't like" the split.
“This is a big boy’s business,” Fulmer said. “He understood. He was very professional. We talked yesterday. It was simply a matter of Coach Pruitt doing what he thought was right for his program and Robert.
“Robert was fine. Robert is OK. He didn’t like it, I’m not saying that. But he’s OK. He understood. It’s a big boy business.”
