Moto Z2 Force with ShatterShield display, Moto Mod support launching in India today

Months after its official launch, Lenovo owned Motorola is finally set to launch the Moto Z2 Force in India today. The Moto Z2 Force was unveiled along with the mid-range Moto Z2 Play back in July 2017. While Motorola launched the Z2 Play in India, the Z2 Force was conspicuous by its absence.
The Moto Z2 Force succeeds both the Moto Z and Moto Z Force and is an ultra slim phone made entirely of metal and glass that comes with top of the line internals, a shatterproof display and support for Motorola's future forward Moto Mods.
While there is no official information as of now, the Moto Z2 Force is expected to be priced below Rs 40,000 in India in order to compete against the likes of the OnePlus 5T, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 and Honor View 10. The smartphone is expected to be available both online - via either Flipkart or Amazon and offline - via the company's MotoHub retail stores. The livestream for today's event can be accessed here.

Just like all 2017 flagships, the Moto Z2 Force is powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor paired with a 2,730mAh battery and either 4GB or 6GB of RAM depending on the variant. Additionally, the smartphone comes with 64 or 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card.
While the Moto Z2 Force comes across as quite a competent smartphone, the internal 2,730mAh battery is quite meagre. In order to mitigate the same, Motorola India will be bundling a Moto TurboPower Pack Mod along with every Z2 Force. Worth Rs 5,999, the TurboPower Pack comes with a 3,490mAh battery and promises an additional day's worth of battery life.
The biggest highlight of the Moto Z2 Force is its 5.5-inch QuadHD shatter-proof display which is made of multiple layers of plastic. On the imaging front, the smartphone comes with a dual camera setup at the rear - a primary 12MP RGB (color) sensor paired with a secondary 12MP monochrome (black and white) sensor. Both sensors have an aperture of f/2.0 On the front, there is a 5MP camera for selfies.
