Indian remake of ‘Rambo’ starring Tiger Shroff to take off in November 2019; find out why

The Hindi remake of Sylvester Stallone’s Hollywood blockbuster, ‘Rambo’, which was announced last year at Cannes film festival, is set to go on the floors in November 2019. The project was earlier supposed to take off in December last year, but thanks to Tiger Shroff and director Siddharth Anand’s busy schedule, it couldn’t.

According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the film will start in November 2019. Siddharth, who is also producing the story, told the tabloid that it will be shot completely in Himalayas and Europe as the film requires a snowy backdrop. To note, Siddharth and Tiger also collaborating for another film which stars Hrithik Roshan and Vaani Kapoor. So, that film will go on floors first (probably in August this year), and both Tiger and Siddharth will be busy with this one till mid-2019. Meanwhile, Tiger is currently busy filming ‘Baaghi 2’ alongside Disha Patani, and will next kick off Punit Malhotra’s ‘Student of the Year 2’.

‘Rambo’ is a film-series based on the David Morrell novel First Blood with Stallone as the titular John Rambo, a troubled Vietnam War veteran and former US Army Special Forces soldier who is skilled in many aspects of survival, weaponry, hand-to-hand combat and guerrilla warfare. The series consists of four films — First Blood (1982), Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Rambo III (1988) and Rambo (2008).
