Besides, six resorts holding Master Certification, the hotel chain simultaneously brags six resorts with Platinum Certification, three certified Gold and three holding Silver Certification, with Sandals Barbados holding the silver certification respectively. It’s a remarkable achievement for the newest Resort of the company.
Nicholas Jordan, the Operations Manager of Sandals Barbados was overjoyed by the declaration, “We are extremely proud of this achievement as we strive to be completely environmentally sound and inform all of our team members on how vital the earth is to us.
“I also have to thank Sandals Foundation and our Earth Guard volunteers, who are dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of Barbados, for their hard work which helped us to achieve this honour.”
Deputy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Sandals Resorts International, Adam Stewart, expressed delight at the recent achievements of the company. He said, “We take environmental preservation very seriously at Sandals and these certifications are testament to this. To be consistently audited and examined by an independent body and continuously maintain and exceed standards is no easy feat but we are driven by our commitment to the environment and we leave no stone unturned when it comes to implementing and maintaining sustainable programmes and practices.”
