Leopard run over by train in Dahod

VADODARA: A leopard was run over by a moving train in a secluded area of Dahod district on Friday morning.
The railway line patrolling men noticed the leopard’s body lying on the track when they were walking by between 6am and 7am. Forest department officials were informed about the accident following which they rushed to the spot.
“The accident occurred between Jekot and Rentia railway station. The leopard must have been run over by a goods train,” said Nirbhaysinh Rana, Jekot railway station superintendent.
The leopard’s body was later cremated by the forest officials.
