Haryana CM Khattar rides bike in Karnal, flags off convoy for Amit Shah’s rally

Khattar also rode a bike for three kilometres from the PWD guest house to a marriage palace on the outskirts of Karnal, where thousands of bikers were gathered.

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar flagged off a convoy of bikers from his constituency of Karnal for BJP’s Jind rally, where party president Amit Shah will be the chief guest.

Khattar also rode a bike for three kilometres from the PWD guest house to a marriage palace on the outskirts of Karnal, where thousands of bikers were gathered. “This is the beginning for the 2019 elections. Lakhs of people from all 90 assembly segments will reach Jind to attend the rally,” Khattar said during a brief media interaction.

“In the rally, people will show their support for the developmental works carried out by BJP in the past three years,” he added.

After flagging off the bike rally, the Haryana chief minister left for the Karnal airport from where he will reach Alewa village in a helicopter and the ride a bike for about 25 km to reach the venue.

Traffic chaos

The bike rally resulted in traffic jams across Karnal. In fact, long queues of bikers could be seen at fuel pumps to get the promised free fuel worth Rs 200 per bike. Besides food packets, bikers were also given a saffron helmet and jackets.
