The leopard, which killed a four-year-old boy at Valparai, was trapped in a cage set up the Forest Department on Wednesday.
The leopard was trapped around 4.30 a.m. in the cage placed near the spot where the child’s body was recovered.
Dragged to bushes
Saidullah, son of Masharaffali, was killed by the leopard last Thursday. The boy, who was playing in front of the quarters of the tea workers, was dragged by the leopard to the bushes.
His headless body was recovered after two-and-half hours near a bush, 350 metres away from the quarters.
Musharaffali and his family had reached Valparai a year ago from Jharkhand .
