GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands, Feb. 15: Academy - School of Blockchain ("Academy") - the world's first accredited blockchain training program - solves the global blockchain developer crisis with its first cohort of highly-trained blockchain developers.
The Future of Blockchain
In five weeks the world will have 120 new Blockchain developers. The first Academy program began on January 29th in Sofia, Bulgaria. Demand far exceeded expectation, so Academy made a concentrated effort to include experienced software development instructors as part of its first class.
"A key part of solving the issue of a lack of qualified Blockchain developers is solving the issue of the lack of qualified Blockchain instructors, so this is an inspiring step for both Academy and the industry at large," said John Souza, founder and CEO of Academy. Week 1 ended with an Academy Coding Hackathon, where students successfully worked together to build a blockchain network!
The Academy Solution
Academy offers a full-circle solution to blockchain education. Blockchain Immersion programs retrain existing software developers into the blockchain ecosystem, while Executive Education offers leaders and executives from all industries an opportunity to consider the disruptive impact of blockchain technology on their businesses. Academy closes the gap between developers and employers by helping place their highly-skilled graduates into jobs after they complete an Academy course.
"Our students graduate with the best available knowledge and skills to tackle emerging and future technologies," said Souza. "We are literally building the future through education."
A unique element of Academy's program is its HR Advisory, where Academy matches graduates with companies in search of talent. Companies looking to hire Academy-trained developers can "bid" on available graduates from each cohort.
