Former deputy chief minister and BJP leader R Ashoka on Thursday accused the Siddaramaiah-led state government of trying to create disharmony between the Hindus and the Muslims by planning to host Bahamani Utsav.
Speaking to reporters here, Ashoka said, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is indulging in appeasement politics to win in coming Assembly elections. He has been creating hatred among the Muslims and Hindus for political gains.
"The Congress party is indulging communal politics," he blamed.
The Congress government is looting the state in the name of development. Defending Prime Minister Narendra Modi's comment that the state government is 10% government, he said, "The government has been looting money in the projects such as Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) Layout Road, Indira Canteen among others."
The information mentioned in the diary, which was maintained by Congress MLC K Govindraj, proved the scams of the government. The BJP has formed a committee to prepare a charge sheet against the state government, he informed.
The PM will take part in five rallies in the state before the announcement of the election schedule. "We have received overwhelming response for the rally organised in Bengaluru and the people from Mandya, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu and Hassan will attend the rally scheduled in Mysuru for February 19," he said.
