Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, that had been embroiled in countless controversies like Karni Sena’s opposition over the distortion of facts about Rani Padmini, among others, has emerged as the box office winner since its release. Not only audiences across the globe but also Bollywood actors are all praises for the Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor‘s portrayal of Alauddin Khilji, Rani Padmavati and Maharana Ratan Singh respectively in the film. Ranveer’s film has raked in Rs 4.50 crore yesterday and currently stands with the grand total of Rs 265.25 crore at the domestic box office. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh today took to his social media handle to share the official collection of this blockbuster movie, he wrote, “#Padmaavat continues its REMARKABLE RUN… [Week 3] Fri 3.50 cr, Sat 6.30 cr, Sun 8 cr, Mon 3.20 cr, Tue 3.75 cr, Wed 4.50 cr. Total: ₹ 265.25 cr. India biz.” Bhansali’s magnum opus is expected to cross the Rs 265 crore mark by its third week at the box office. The story of Padmaavat revolves around menacing Sultan of Delhi Alauddin Khilji, who wishes to conquer the queen of Chittorgarh Rani Padmavati.
