New Toyota Supra Leak Shows More of New 335 HP Coupe
The new Toyota Supra looks to have leaked online ahead of its debut later this year, revealing portions of the sports car’s exterior and maybe even some performance figures.
The leak comes from an article in a Japanese car magazine, which was posted to a Supra forum this week. The article shows both the standard Supra and the Supra GRMN Concept, which the automaker will show officially at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show in March. Not surprisingly, the car pulls heavy inspiration from the Toyota FT-1 Concept, sporting a near-identical front end and an equally as similar rear.

This leak also appears to back up the rumoured Supra specs we shared with you this week. It seems the Supra will make 335 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque from its BMW-sourced 3.0-liter inline-six, which will result in a 0-60 mph time of around 3.8s, if the magazine is to be believed (although we don’t speak Japanese, making it hard to say for sure). It also says it will weigh around 1,500 kg, or 3,3000 lbs, which also jives with prior intel.
Sadly, we hear the revived Supra won’t have a manual transmission on offer, but we’re sceptical Toyota would do that with all this talk about driving enjoyment lately, so let’s wait and see.
The Toyota Supra GRMN Concept is expected to be shown at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show next month. After that, Toyota will show the production version – which is rumoured to happen at the 2018 New York Auto Show. We can hardly wait.
