THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has given instruction for granting financial aid for the treatment of ace music director’s wife Rani Johnson. The chief minister ordered the department concerned to release Rs 3 lakh immediately to Mrs Johnson, who is under treatment for blood cancer.

The financial aid would be given from the chief minister’s relief fund.

The other day the chief minister had received a letter from Rani Johnson that detailed her health condition. This letter was considered as an application for releasing the financial aid.

Not long after the demise of Johnson Master, his son Ren John died in a bike accident. A few years ago his daughter, a wannabe music director, was found dead in a hotel room. After the death of her daughter, Rani Johnson has been leading a low-profile secluded life. The next tragedy to visit the family was in the form of cancer and she has been under constant treatment since the detection of the disease.
